Monaco star Fabinho will reportedly snub interest from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal to join Manchester City in the summer, according his father.
The 23-year-old was strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford last summer before he inked a fresh five-year deal with the Principality outfit.
Since then, the Brazilian has transformed himself into a central midfielder at Monaco with Benjamin Mendy being allotted with the right-back position.
Fabinho’s father Joao has now revealed that his son has received offers from Manchester United, Arsenal and Barcelona, but a move to the Etihad remains the preferred option.
“We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and approached by Barcelona,” he told J+1. “We like Manchester United and [Jose] Mourinho’s work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City.”
Fabinho has earned 24 appearances for Monaco in Ligue 1 where they remain in pole position to lift a long-awaited title.
